Our parent organization, AAPP, is investing in an aggressive 2+ year, multi-step, multi-faceted AAPP Outcomes Initiative intended to generate strong research outcomes attributable to psychiatric pharmacists. AAPP has pledged up to $500,000 to the AAPP Foundation to directly support up to two multi-site studies with the goal to generate high-quality large sample size (n) data sets that evaluate the impact of integrating psychiatric pharmacists into team-based mental health care in studies with multiple research sites and investigators. In 2024, your association and the AAPP Foundation are taking a really big swing in supporting the advancement of the psychiatric pharmacy profession. We ask you to support this effort with your year-end donations as we seek to raise $75,000 by the end of 2023. Read more.
Mary Borovicka, PharmD, BCPP, will assume the AAPP Foundation President of the Board of Directors as of January 1, 2024. Learn more about Dr. Borovicka's background, involvement with AAPP and the AAPP Foundation, and vision for her tenure as President. "In the future, I would like to see psychiatric pharmacists imbedded in greater numbers in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and SUD settings, as well as more integration in other practice areas, like family medicine and other non-psychiatric settings. The AAPP Foundation is pleased to announce two recipients of the eighth annual Defining the Future Research Grant Awards: Andrew Chantha Hean, PharmD and Paige Dorve-Lewis, PharmD. The AAPP Foundation was encouraged by the submissions from students, residents, and fellows who are working to improve the lives of people living with mental disorders and their caregivers. The AAPP Foundation is proud to once again provide financial support to attend Mental Health First Aid! Two courses will be offered, November 27 and 29, and up to 60 individuals may participate. The blended course involves 2 hours of home-study coursework and 6 hours of virtual instruction with a certified instructor in a Zoom classroom. Read more.

The AAPP Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the third annual Collegiate Chapter Impact Grant Awards. After a thorough evaluation process, the grant committee selected two chapters to receive funding: Rutgers University and East Tennessee State University.
