- Fund research that demonstrates the impact of psychiatric pharmacists on patient access, outcomes, and costs. Currently funded initiatives include the outcomes initiative and annual research awards.
- Contribute to innovation in practice through the funding of psychiatric pharmacy quality improvement and practice expansion projects. Currently funded initiatives include practice expansion and defining the future grants.
- Support the development of the pharmacy workforce through education and initiatives that expand knowledge and that application of knowledge to enhanced care for those living with mental illness, including substance use disorders. Currently funded initiatives include student registration grants to the next AAPP Annual Meeting, student chapter impact grants, and educational activities and sponsorships.
